School Mission Statement The mission of St. Mary’s School is to provide: A faith community that: · Nurtures a close relationship between students and God. · Teaches the Catholic faith. · Encourages Christian service. · Supports families in their role as primary catechists for their children. A learning community that challenges each student: · To reach each his/her highest academic potential · To learn life skills that will prepare him/her for successful transitions in their future, including: · Reflective reasoning · Self-discipline · Technology skills · Problem solving · Critical thinking skills A culturally diverse community that: · Builds an understanding and appreciation of the gifts present in all cultures. · Provides an opportunity to learn a second language. School Philosophy St. Mary's Parish School believes in the integration of living sacred Tradition, the Word, Doctrine, and social teaching of the Catholic Church. We believe that families are the primary catechists for their children. We believe in a living, active and conscious faith that calls families to entrust their children to Catholic Schools. We believe students, their families, teachers, and all of St. Mary's community share the responsibility for religious and academic formation. We believe that St. Mary's School nutures within each individual a closer relationship to God through our faith community, academic excellence and active participation in the Sacramental and Liturgical Life of the Church. We believe in responding to the obligation of Christian service. We believe in providing a healthy and safe environment.
