St. Mary's: u Students pray together daily and attend weekly mass. u Offers formal religious education classes at all levels. u Offers opportunities to practice living one’s faith. Liturgy and the Liturgical Year u Advent is celebrated as preparation for Christmas. A Jesse Tree is part of the worship environment. u Chistmas is celebrated upon return to school with Chrismas parties, songs, etc. u All Saint's Day - Children are asked to wear a banner with their Saint's name or dress up as their saint on that day. Saint's parties are held. u Spring Break is held in conjunction with the Public Schools only when it does not coincide with Holy Week. u Shrove Tuesday is celebrated with a prayer service using as many alleluia songs as possible. u First Eucharist is celebrated on Easter Sunday. u Mary is presented as our role model and honored on her special feast days. Celebration of the Liturgy u Children prepare the liturgies with their teacher. u Children serve in the various ministries at Mass - lectors, ushers, gift bearers, and cantors. u
Gospel Values
School children, familes and staff participate to live out the gospel by:
u Supporting a sister parish in Haiti with many projects/activities throughout the year by assisting in raising funds and collecting items.
u Supporting a medical team that goes to Haiti annually.
u Collecting food, preparing and serving meals at three local sites each month.
